What permission settings should I use for Android app installation.

When you install 5dkey onto Android - you are prompted for the following permission settings.

'Allow 5dkey to find connect and determine the relative position of nearby devices'

Here you need to select allow, as this is how 5dkey can activate enabled or compatible card readers. If you select don't allow the app will not work.

'Allow 5dkey to access this devices location'

You can choose any setting here, however please note: If you select 'Deny' the app will not be able to show devices in the near me list. Also you will not be able to activate devices at a distance.
This feature can be handy for opening up a roller door for example from several meters away.

5dkey does not collect your location other than as you badge compatible card readers that you have been given access to. Access logs are collected in the same way as if you were presenting a physical access card.

'Allow 5dkey to send notifications'

This can be used to turn on or off auto authentication and remote authentication notifications such as a success or fail. Either setting will allow the app to work.

'Allow access to camera and photo roll'

5dkey uses camera and photo access to enable the uploading of membership cards, photo ID's and the like.
